Jack Torrance of the Shining:
It could be hypothesized that Jack Torrance has schizophrenia, depending on how the film is interpreted. For instance, he could be hallucinating the entire ballroom that is in the hotel. Although the movie takes place in the 1970's, Jack enters the ballroom into what appears to be a scene from the 1910's. The hallucinations and delusions he has eventually lead him to chase down his wife and son with an ax.
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
